"Whoever survives a test, whatever it may be, must tell the story. That is (her) duty." ~Elie Weisel
We all have a story to tell... and some are worth retelling.
Last week, as part of our Guest Speaker Series, two women shared their personal stories with ATACP students. Amanda Salinas was born in Mexico City, grew up in Laredo and at age 9 decided she wanted to to be a broadcast journalist. She held to the dream, graduated from the University of Texas and worked around the nation before landing the Fox News anchor position in Austin Texas.
She is fortunate to do what she loves - to share the stories of people, places, and events that must be told.
Rachel Belkin ("Mrs. Rachel") is a math instructor, cancer survivor, and writer. She is a positive influence and role model to our students. Her cheerful demeanor and positive outlook is an inspiration to all of us and reminds us to live with intention and to be grateful for each day.
We often take precious moments for granted - caught up in the daily busy-ness, we are given periodic reminders to ground us and reconnect us to the most important parts of our lives and to who we truly are.
This is Mrs. Rachel's story - filmed at ATA, told by Amanda Salinas, and aired locally in Austin, Texas.
